[ROM] Top Notch Tablets - PiPo U1 - Firmware Release 1

Thanks for your ROM. It's good to see all the Chinese gone and more space for apps.

However, in testing I have found an issue when installing Chrome (25.0.1364.169) from Google Play. Whenever I start the app it says, "Unfortunately, Chrome has stopped" and the page never renders. Then after a few seconds the message appears again. I'd like to be able to use Chrome for it's ability to sync with Chrome on the desktop and other devices. Is there any way I can fix this?

Is there a way of turning off the soft screenshot, volume up and volume down buttons on the screen? I'd rather the interface was as uncluttered as possible and there are already hardware buttons on the U1 for the volume.

Thanks again, Ian.

You would think that Chrome would be the most compatable browser, but it seems to have the most issues. It is a problem for many Android tablets, so something that will need to be fixed @ source.

You could try disabling then re-enabling the app. This works for some problem apps.

Your post says PiPo U1 TNT firmware is rooted. However, Root Explorer is telling me, "Device doesn't appear to be rooted.

Please explain if possible.

Also, I noticed Chrome was missing. Any specific reason why?

Thanks for your efforts.
