Hello there, thanks for the info, I downloaded this firmware and noticed that my Onda VX610W has Android v4.0.3 ICS, v0.8 from the manufacturer. I know that this is the latest update , but I have a doubt when it comes to the SN, where suppose to be 10, 11 or one of the both or what, mine has 10 on it: SN:V610WPC83V5G00*** So I figured that since it has a V5 there, this fw is the right one, but after the download, I read the readme and says that contains 10, 11 in SN, so it has a 10, but not an 11, so how to know which Version is my model by just looking at bare SN?

Thanks :)

Hi there,

The readme was translated by 'Google Translate', so I am sure that it is not perfect. You could check the original Onda download site here:
http://www.onda.cn/MP3/ProductInfo.aspx ... 166&d=down
And see if you can make a better translation.

It appeared that this firmware is correct to your tablet since your tablet has V5 model. As for the 10 or 11 as mentioned, I do not know. I've tried to look around for you, and the closest info that I came up with as follows:

There are 3 different versions of the VX610W - http://tabletrepublic.com/forum/cortex- ... #post16373.

VX610W??? (shishangban) "Fashion Edition" - has 5 point capacitive screen
VX610W??? (haohuaban) "Deluxe Edition" - also has 5 point capacitive screen
VX610W??? (jiaqiangban) "Enhanced Edition" - has 2 point resistive screen

Hope that someone with more knowledge could jump in and give us both some advise. Or if you can find a solution yourself, please post.

Dave,

Don't worry, I figured out, I just ran the whole thing and did work well, now I will use the suycyda script to optimize the whole firmware from barebones :)

Thanks for the help I really appreciate it

Glad to hear that it was working for you :)
If it is possible, and if the suycyda script is free, could you post it with some explanation about what it does, so others can share the benefit ?

Dave,
